Decline of the CD...
The CD or compact disk has been around since 1982 when it was first developed by Sony and Phillips. The first popular or well known artist's CD was from ABBA called 'The Visitors.' The 20 to 30 years or so after this point, the CD became more and more popular and became vital for the music industry.
