Digipak, what is it?

Definition - A digipak is how an artist portrays their media to their audience. It is packaging for a CD often made of paper or cardboard. They immediately signify to the consumer what the artist is all about and give indications of their personality. They allow the consumer to make their first impression of the artist as this is the first thing that is seen when buying their album/single.

Conventions...

Normally, the front cover of a digipak will contain the artists name and the single/album title. The front will normally also have an image of

some sort, often of the artist. On the back of the digipak, if it is an album, a list of the songs on the album will be included along with some sort of image again, often of the artist.
