My top 5 favourite music videos.

Throughout the last 40 years or so, there have been a number of music videos that have revolutionised the industry. I have picked out 5 of my personal favourite ones from the last 15 years or so.

No.5

My 5th favourite music video is Robbie Williams' 2009 hit of 'You Know Me'. I'm a fan of this video as it uses some intertextuality with Alice in Wonderland as it features Robbie Williams in the rabbit's outfit, I feel that is an original video with a good song to suit.

No.4

My 4th best music video is Fergie's 2006 popular hit of 'Big Girls Don't Cry'. This is on my list due to the set as a whole and the thought gone into the production of the video itself.

No.3

My 3rd favourite music video is Lady Gaga's 'Bad Romance' released in 2009. This makes the list due to its pure controversial style and due to the fact of it gaining some sort of reaction, proving how successful it was.

No.2

My 2nd favourite music video is Coldplay's 2002 release of 'The Scientist'. This is due to the nature of the video as a whole. The video takes you through it as if you are in it and makes it personal.

No.1

My overall number one choice for my favourite music video is 'Californication', the 2002 release from the Red hot chilli peppers. The is top of the list due to it originality and total uniqueness. It uses intertextuality with the video game theme linking it to Grand Theft Auto as well as Tony Hawk, it is simply nothing like the majority of music videos.
